Think of a tire like a sponge. Once you have used a sponge, when it dries out it gets hard and stiff. Wet it again, it is soft and pliable again. Formula V puts the petroleum based moisture back into the tires so they can CONTINUE TO RUN SOFT FOR THE LIFE OF THE TIRE.

Treating new tires is recommended, which eliminates the shelf life of tires. Tires should be treated before each racing event. Dirt racers can usually go with one-step harder tires with Formula V to get a better balance of changing track conditions during an event.

Comp, Super Stock, Stock, ET Bracket, Bike, Etc. - 2 to 4 heavy coats of Formula V is recommended before each racing event to maintain tire freshness after the inital treatment has been achieved. PRO CARS ONLY - can but 1 coat of Formula V on tire between rounds.

Tires sould be treated to full treatment before each racing event. Auto Cross tires usually require only 2 to 4 heavy coats of Formula V to maintain freshness after inital treatment has been achieved. Ifusing D.O.T. tires (street tires) they can be softened 4 to 8 durometer points softer than original with full treatment.

Kart tires should be treated to full treatment before each racing event. Formula V can be applied immediately after returning to pits and while tires are still hot. Apply right over excess rubber picked up from the track. This rubber can then easily be scraped off with a putty knife.
